Series B LMS Duchess - Non-Streamlined Availability

A total of 24 non-streamlined LMS Duchess will be built in various conditions and liveries.  To meet production paint shop minimum criteria, each B1 Duchess is duplicated.

All pre-war and war-built non-streamlined Duchesses will have similar bodies, frames, wheels and cabs.  Tenders will be the second type for pre-war builds, and modified streamlined type for post war builds.  All will carry LMS front numberplates.  There are two prominent visual changes; from single to double chimney, and fitting of smoke deflectors.  The four parts reflect these and two livery options - firstly the pre-war livery developed specifically for non-streamlined Duchesses, and secondly 1946 LMS lined black.  LMS cast iron numberplates and builders plates, etc will be fitted.
